How to Set A Locket Widget On Your Homescreen
After you have downloaded the app, you will have to log in to the app. Then you can now proceed. When you first enter the app, you will be prompted to create a locket widget on your home screen. You can easily do this on your mobile device. However, the steps to add the locket widgets on your mobile device might vary depending on the operating system (OS) of the phone.
On iOS:
- Go to the Home Screen page where you want to add the widget.
- Touch and hold the Home Screen background until the apps begin to jiggle.
- Tap the “+” button in the top left corner of the screen.
- Scroll or search to find the locket widget.
- Tap the locket widget, then swipe through the available size options. Choose the size that best suits your needs.
- Tap “Add Widget”.
- While the apps are still jiggling, move the widget to the desired location on the screen.
- Tap “Done” to save your changes.
Adding a widget to Today View:
- Swipe right from your Home Screen or Lock Screen to open Today View.
- Touch and hold a widget or an empty area in Today View until the widgets jiggle.
- Tap the “+” button in the top left corner of the screen.
- Scroll down to see the list of available widgets.
- Select the widget you want to add and choose from the three available sizes.
- Tap “Add Widget”.
- Tap “Done” to save your changes.
For Androids:
- On your Home screen, hold down a space until a menu appears.
- Tap “Widgets” on the menu.
- A list of available widgets will appear, categorized by the apps they belong to. You can scroll through the list or tap the search bar to find a specific widget.
- Touch and hold the widget you want to add.
- Drag and drop the widget to the desired location on your Home screen. Release your finger to place it.
- Some widgets offer different size options. You can resize the widget by tapping and dragging its edges while holding it.
- Certain widgets have additional settings. To access them, tap and hold the widget and choose “Settings” or a similar option.
After you have added the Locket widget to your homepage or the Today view on your iOS device. Then the widget will begin to display the images shared by your friends on the Locket widget app. However, that is given if you have existing friends added to your Locket account.
How to Use the Locket Widget Camera App
Upon launching the Locket app, users are greeted with a user-friendly interface that allows for seamless navigation. The primary purpose of the app is to enable users to take photos and share them with others conveniently. With a simple and intuitive design, users can easily browse through a collection of photos taken by various individuals, providing a glimpse into their daily lives and experiences.
You will see a camera capture button and a rounded box with your camera preview. Here, you will be able to capture photos of what you are doing or pictures of yourself. You can choose to take the photo using your front or rear cameras, with the flash on or off. After you take the photo, you will be taken to the post preview tab. Here, you will see a preview of the photo that you took before you uploaded it. Also, you can choose to add a short message to the photo. Additionally, you can choose to save the photo to the gallery of your phone if you like the picture by tapping on the download button on the right side of the send button.

When you are satisfied with the picture, you can select to send it to all your friends on your Locket, or you can select the people you want to send it to. Then tap on the send button to send it to your friends. However, if you change your mind and want to discard it, tap on the “X” button on the left side of the send button. On the same camera preview tab after launching the app, there is a chat feature that allows you to message all your friends on Locket. Just tap on the messages button in the top right corner of the page. Here, you can see all the replies and messages left by your friends, as well as your replies and messages.
When you send a photo to your friend on Locket, you will not be able to see the number of people that view the picture. But you can see the replies if any of them leave a reaction or reply. Also, you can delete the photo if you don’t want it up anymore. To access the gallery of photos from your friends, swipe up on the camera preview tab. When you do so, you will be taken to the latest picture sent by your friends in the gallery. Tap on the more button in the left corner. When you tap on it, you will see all the photos that all your friends have ever sent, provided that they haven’t deleted it yet.
Then you can tap on any of the photos in the gallery to enlarge it. You can then react to the photos or reply to the photo. You can also choose to share the photo by tapping on the share button in the bottom right corner of the screen. Not only that, but you can choose to delete the photo from your gallery entirely by tapping on the menu button in the top right corner and tapping on delete photo. Also, you can choose to save the photo in your phone’s gallery if you want. Tap on the menu button and then tap on download photo. Don’t worry; both saving and deleting photos will not alert your friend. Also, if your friend on Locket deletes a photo they uploaded, you will lose it from your Locket gallery unless you have already saved it to your phone’s gallery.
